2000
Spidlight was born in 2000 from Douglas Mont's obsession with the boundary between furniture and sculpture. Its four tapered legs — each one a continuous curve — grow from a single monolithic seat, creating a silhouette that reads differently from every angle. In the Luminous version, the body glows from within, turning the chair into a light source as alive as the space it inhabits.

Three legs. One unbroken gesture. Zero right angles.
Douglas Mont began Spidlight in 2000 with a single constraint: no flat surfaces, no straight lines, no right angles. Every face of the chair is curved. Every junction between leg and seat is a fluid, uninterrupted transition - as if the piece had been inflated from the inside, not assembled from parts.
In the Luminous version, the translucent polyethylene body becomes a diffuser, casting a warm, even glow across the floor. In matte solid finishes - including the iconic Matte Black - Spidlight reads as pure sculpture, weightless despite its mass. Both versions are rated IP44 for outdoor use.

Chair
Galactica shares Spidlight's organic language - the same absence of right angles, the same fluid transition between leg and seat - but scaled and proportioned for the dining table. Luminous or matte, it brings the same sculptural presence to everyday ritual. A chair that makes sitting feel like a deliberate act.
